The recipient of the 2013 Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Marketing Award for PR Professional of the Year, Shana is an expert in B2B technology public relations with 14 years of experience in both agency and corporate environments. Currently Shana is the Public Relations Manager for Cox Business, the commercial services side of Cox Communications, a provider of voice, data, video and managed services for 300,000+ businesses, where she leads the national PR strategy and execution of the $1.6B organization. In this role, Shana is responsible for driving positive awareness of Cox Business through traditional media, social media and events collaborating closely with Marketing to generate leads and customer loyalty.

Prior to Cox, Shana was the Public Relations Director for Cbeyond, an Atlanta-based technology provider specializing in cloud solutions for small businesses. Responsible for the company’s reputation online and off, Shana lead a team of field marketers to drive positive engagement among customers and prospects through virtual and live events, creative social media programs and traditional media results. On a national level, Shana helped secure some of Cbeyond’s most notable acknowledgments including one of Forbes “100 Most Trustworthy Companies.”

Shana started her career at top international PR firm Porter Novelli where she spent 10 years leading communications and media strategy for clients in the technology, healthcare and consumer industries. Clients included HP, PeopleSoft, Dixie, American Center Society, Best Software (makers of ACT! and SalesLogix), and Witness Systems (now Verint).
