Dr. Robert Sorin

Dr. Sorin attended Rutgers University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1974. He began practicing aesthetic and restorative dentistry in New York City in 1979 after completing an additional year of advanced training as a General Practice Resident at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.

Continuing to advance his expertise while building a thriving restorative and esthetic practice, Dr. Sorin has studied extensively with Dr. Peter Dawson at The Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg, Fla., and with Dr. John Kois at the Center for Advanced Dental Learning in Seattle, Wa. These mentors have helped him formulate a comprehensive, bio-functional philosophy of dental care that goes beyond simple cosmetics. This advanced approach to aesthetic and restorative dentistry combines the latest dental science with sound biological, anatomical, functional and aesthetic principles to minimize risk and maximize long-term health and durability.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Sorin teaches at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and holds academic appointment to The Weil Medical College, Cornell University Medical School. . He has the distinction of being a Mentor at the Kois Learning Center in Seattle, Washington and has lectured on a variety of subjects including dental aesthetics, computers in dentistry and the relationship of restorative dentistry and tempromandibular joint dysfunction.
