Richard J. DeKaser is President of Woodley Park Research, where he oversees macroeconomic forecasting, real time economic analysis, and housing valuation research. Mr. DeKaser founded Woodley Park Research after 23 years of professional experience spanning government, consulting and financial services. His superior track record of forecast accuracy is nationally recognized, he appears frequently in print and broadcast media outlets, and is a highly sought public speaker.
Prior to founding Woodley Park Research, Mr. DeKaser spent a decade as senior vice president and chief economist for National City Corporation - one of the nation’s largest banks - where he controlled the economic research agenda. Previous to that he spent a decade as senior financial economist at Bank of Boston, now part of Bank of America. Before that he was a senior associate at DRI/McGraw-Hill (now part of IHS Global Insight) and a staff economist at the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
