Doug Barry 
Doug Barry is Director of Marketing and Communications for the U.S. Commercial Service, the global business solutions unit of the Department of Commerce. Based in Washington, D.C., Doug has served as an international trade specialist focusing on Russia and the states of the former Soviet Union. His overseas assignments have included managing Commercial Service offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. He is editor of A Basic Guide to Exporting: The Official U.S. Government Resource for Small- and Mid-sized Business. Doug earned a doctorate from Columbia University and taught for many years at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
