Charles Kadlec 
Charles Kadlec is a Managing Director of J. & W. Seligman & Co. Inc. and Chief Investment Strategist for Seligman Advisors, distributor of Seligman Funds. Based in New York City, Chuck has a long and varied career in finance, economics, and politics. He served as Economic Advisor to Jack Kemp in his U.S. Presidential bid and during his tenure as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Chuck has also testified before Congress on key issues including monetary policy, tax policy, and government poverty programs. In 1995, he appeared before the Flat Tax Commission. Prior to joining Seligman in 1985, Chuck was Executive Vice President and Director of Research at A.B. Laffer Associates, a nationally prominent economic consulting firm in California. Before then, he was an officer of Crocker National Bank in San Francisco, and a contributing editor to Business Week Magazine. He is the architect of several comprehensive investment strategies. Chief among them, are Seligman Time Horizon Matrix which helps investors reach their financial goals and Harvesting a Lifetime of Savings which addresses the concerns of retirees. Chuck is the author of Dow 100,000: Fact or Fiction? published by Prentice Hall.
