DJS International Services, Inc. is an independent, Texas-based customs brokerage and freight forwarding firm. Still family owned and operated, DJS offers full range of international logistics management solutions, delivered in flexible and customized service plans designed specifically for each client’s needs. With a worldwide network of strategic agent partners, DJS is uniquely positioned to provide importers and exporters with a distinct competitive advantage - superior global reach backed by a rarely found local touch.

Representing a third generation of the Sekin family in the customs brokerage and logistics community, Melissa grew up at her grandfather’s and her father’s companies, acquiring a strong sense of the industry long before following the career calling. After earning a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Texas Christian University, Melissa returned to the family business full-time in 2001, and became the finance and administrative complement to husband David’s operational savvy.

Melissa also holds the CCS designation, having been one of the first students in the nation to successfully complete the NCBFAA’s Certified Customs Specialist Course in its inaugural year in 2006.

Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer, Melissa continues to oversee accounting and HR at DJS, and has worked extensively on the expansion of DJS employee benefits, corporate wellness initiatives, and employee training and education opportunities.
