Joan Pryde 
Joan has been with the Kiplinger company for nearly 10 years, and currently covers tax legislation and IRS regulations for The Kiplinger Tax Letter. Before joining Kiplinger, Joan was a reporter for The Bond Buyer for 10 years, covering the municipal bond market. She also was a reporter at the Bureau of National Affairs, a senior associate editor at Nation’s Business magazine, and an adjunct professor of journalism at American University. She received her M.A. in journalism from American University, and a B.A. in history and political science from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. She and her husband live in Alexandria, VA.
