A Message About AAHBB.

As of May 1, 2003, AAHBB ceased to exist as a non-profit membership organization. Beverley Williams will still be involved with home-based advocacy, but in different roles.

The good news is that she will be working closely with her friend, Jim Blasingame, The Small Business Advocate, to continue and expand the support of your efforts as a home-based business owner. You are encouraged to join Beverley as a member of Jim’s community.

As you may know, Jim is the award-winning host of The Small Business Advocate Show, the only nationally syndicated, weekday radio/Internet talk show that’s dedicated to small business, including home-based. Beverley’s been associated with Jim since 1997 as his lead home-based business expert in his community of experts, called the Brain Trust. They’ve conducted hundreds of interviews about home-based issues, many of which are in his audio archives. All you have to do to join Jim’s community is partake of the free content here, including Jim’s free weekly ezine, the Small Business Advocate NEWSLETTER.

AAHBB has been many things since it’s inception in 1991 as a local networking group for home-based businesses in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It became a national membership organization in 1994 and a wholly web-based membership organization in 2000 with more than 13,000 people signing up to take advantage of the many pieces of information and the benefit programs that were offered on the site.

Our purpose has always been to support, educate and promote home-based businesses. We will continue to do so as long as there is a need. The AAHBB Board of Directors feel confident that becoming an information center for home-based businesses through Jim’s efforts, resources, and community will continue to fulfill that mission.

You will still find information specific to home-based businesses on these pages, including the T.C.B. Tip sheets, Zoning Resources, Getting Started, Home-Based Business Week, and more. In addition, you can now access information valued by all small business owners. Spend a few minutes browsing through all the outstanding resources available on this site..

We know you’ll agree this is a great move for all home-based businesses.
